Maternity photos
I've found this awesome photographer, Kirstin Roper. If I was rich I would hire her to follow my family and I around all the time to document our lives. Okay, maybe that would be a little much. She took our family pictures in June and I had her take maternity pictures for me a couple of weeks ago. Can you believe that two weeks later an 8 lb 9 oz baby boy would make his debut into the world. I felt big, but not that big. :)
Oh and just to warn you before you proceed, there are two pictures of my bare belly. Don't proceed if you don't want to see those. They are however I think, very tasteful.

The poppies

Did you know there is a field of poppies in Utah? Gorgeous orange poppies that aren't on private property. Hundreds of them. Last night I was looking at some photography blogs that inspire me and I saw some photos in poppy fields. I knew the photographer was based in Utah, so after some internet searching I found where they are. And I just had to go there. Tonight. Because they are only in bloom for a short time.
They were gorgeous, but I guess they are almost done blooming. I can't wait to see them next year in their prime. Next year I want family portraits there.

(I asked Ben to tell Jack a secret. Look at Jack's face. Later Ben told me that he told Jack that we would buy him a doughnut. Hmm, why the look on his face? I think that was the first time he experienced somebody whispering in his ear. It does feel weird. And, he was just ornery tonight.)
P.S. I almost forgot. Do you want to know where the poppy fields are? They are in Mantua. If you want more specific directions, let me know.
