I love Ben's prayers, and Ben loves to pray so we get to hear a lot of them. Jack likes to pray too and he likes to have Ben help him. Ben usually tells Jack what to say and then Jack won't repeat it. Instead he will say over and over again, 'thank you for the food.'
After Ben prays I often think I should write them down, but tonight's the first time. I love how he listens to the things we say and ends up using them in his prayers and that he comes up with things on his own. This was his prayer tonight before bed-
(He forgot to say Dear Heavenly Father)
Thank you for this wonderful day.
Thank you for the wonderful prayers at the kid's house.
Thank you for mom for making the most delicious dinner.
Thank you Jesus for making my parents.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I think he said, "wonderful" for at least a couple more things, but I can't remember everything he said.
And are you wondering what the 'most delicious' dinner was? Navajo tacos. I think Ben was influenced by my nephew Josh telling me that it was, "the best dinner ever." My sisters kids often tell me that when they eat at my house. Even when I just warm up some corndogs. The first time I warmed up corndogs my niece Brooklynn told me I was the 'best cook ever.' It makes me laugh.
